CGI/JAVA (html) Chat

I am unable to get either CGI or HTML chat to work even though these are very simple bits of code

Anyone have any ideas why?

This requires the melange chat server process to be running on the server on which your account sits and for the port it operates on to be open on both the servers incoming firewall and on your own machines outgoing one.

This feature is disabled on all Xilo servers to the best of my knowledge in the interests of security.

If you want a real time chat system your best bet is to employ a lightweight php and mysql based system that stores chat in a database and is refreshed every second or so to give the appearence of real time operation. There are a number of scripts out there that will do this for you out the box.
